FAQ's

How many days prior to the wedding do we need to arrive at the resort?

If you are getting married in DR or Mexico, in case of a legal ceremony, you and your witnesses are kindly asked to be on-site at least three business days before the wedding. If you are getting married in the Bahamas, you and your witness are required to arrive at least two business days prior the wedding. In case of a symbolic ceremony or a vows renewal, two business days are recommended, in order to fully enjoy your wedding experience.

Will my marriage be legally binding in my home country?

For foreigners, legalizing the marriage in DR, Mexico and the Bahamas, is possible. We count on a prepared on-site team, who will help you going through the paperwork needed. Please be informed that Judges’ fees and legalization are not included in our packages and will represent extra costs you should expect.

Should we have guests staying outside the resort, are they allowed to assist the wedding?

Guests not staying at the resort will be allowed to come in on the wedding day by purchasing a Day Pass. Please consult with your Wedding Coordinator to know fares and timeframes allowed.
It is important to note that the wedding pass fee is in addition to any wedding fees for additional guests.

Can we get to know the resort and the on-site wedding team firsthand, before taking a decision?

Yes of course! We would be happy to have you as our guests before making the final decision. Get in touch with us through the contact form and we will be happy to assist you booking your pre wedding staying. If you decide to celebrate with us, these nights are on us!

Do you organize elopements?

How soon after I book a wedding at Viva Resorts by Wyndham can I start planning?

Once you have secured your wedding date, your Wedding Coordinator will get in touch with you to get to know you and plan the stages of the organization, according to the size of the wedding.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

During your meeting with your Wedding Coordinator you will be walked through your plan B, and, should the weather be unforgiving approaching the time of the wedding, we will be ready with the inside back-up option. Your Wedding Coordinator will always consult with you before taking any decision regarding this move.

What group activities can I book for my guests?

We love when our guests can fully savor the Viva experience, and when you think of Viva Resorts by Wyndham, you think about fun!
Whether you are travelling with your lifetime friends, your family or your kids, we got you covered.
