Just think that it was discovered while chasing an iguana… years ago, a farmer dislodged stones among rocks and found himself among caves. Speleologists were involved and the surprise was incredible: a cave system with stalactites reflected in an underground river.

Rio Secreto is a gothic gallery, a geological library, a mysterious and fascinating world. It can be reached in various ways, by renting a car, by public buses leaving from Playa del Carmen, by purchasing the excursion run by them. Awarded by the TripAdvisor community and National Geographic, it holds an exciting experience for you.

On the other hand, the Playacar area, where our resorts are located, is great for experiencing all that the Riviera Maya has to offer. Just think, we are only a few minutes away from Playa del Carmen. Have you already been there?

La Quinta Avenida is the five-kilometer-long pedestrian boulevard, dotted with small restaurants, bars, art galleries, rooftops, boutiques and businesses. If you go during the day or at sunset time, stop at Parque Fundadores, which dates back to the 1950s when Playa was a fishing village: a selfie near the imposing Portal Maya is a must, and then enjoy the shows, such as Mayan dances or the Voladores de Papantla. If you go after dinner, take Calle 12, the address for discos and nightlife in general.

We are waiting for you in the Mexican Caribe. On an expanse of sand as far as the eye can see, lapped by the Caribbean Sea, Viva Wyndham Maya is an exuberant resort that never ceases to engage young people and families with many opportunities; from the regulation trapeze to water sports to the stage with mega screens. Come and discover the new areas: the swim up bar for a refreshing drink without leaving the pool, the sports bar for evenings with friends, the cafeteria for sweet breaks or if you prefer more continental breakfasts.

Viva Wyndham Azteca has a more intimate atmosphere, especially appreciated by couples; breakfast on the patio is very pleasant, as is a light lunch in the snack bar elevated above the pool. Super relax in the gazebos among palm trees where you can indulge in a massage, and the Mayan menu dinner in the restaurant set into the jungle is impressive. It will remain in your heart.
