Catalina Snorkeling

A snorkeling trip with impressive behind-the-scene views of the Caribbean Sea!

This excursion begins at the Viva Wyndham Dominicus pier with a speedboat heading westward towards Catalina Island. Upon our arrival, we drop anchor off the coast, above the coral reef to do snorkeling in its crystal-clear waters, inhabited by schools of colorful marine life.

We will also snorkel above “La Pared” (The Wall) to enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea floor as it falls into its depths! Our next stop is Viva Beach, our resort’s exclusive beach at Catalina Island, where we will have time to relax, sunbathe and swim in the sea or continue to snorkel in front of the beach.

At around noon we depart from the beach and head towards Viva Wyndham Dominicus, along the coast of La Romana, just in front of the renowned Casa de Campo resort, with its impressive luxury villas and the Casa de Campo Marina, the largest marina in the Caribbean, visible from our speedboat.

Super Saona

An unparalleled, full tour of Saona Island, culminating with an epic celebration aboard a catamaran at sunset!

We depart on a speedboat from the pier located at the resort off the coast of the striking Parque Nacional del Este National Park. Our first stop is Palmilla, also known as a natural swimming pool for its crystal-clear waters. You will have the opportunity to swim, take pictures and toast with a glass of local rum. We continue our way towards stunning Canto de la Playa, a unspoiled beach on Saona Island, where you will be welcomed with fresh pineapple juice served inside its fruit. We will visit Mano Juan, the only settlement on the island and a charming fishing village and popular tourist spot. You will have an opportunity to taste fresh coconut.

The tour continues aboard the speedboat towards the exclusive Viva Saona beach, with its alluring white sands. Sit back, sunbathe, play volleyball, take incredible pictures, dance alongside our animation staff or swim in its turquoise waters as you relish in the open bar and Caribbean beats. Our buffet-style lunch offers several varieties of meat, pasta in lobster sauce, salad, rice, vegetables and a whole lot more.

We will sail back on a catamaran at around 4:00 PM. Once aboard, you may choose to relax or celebrate with us at our unforgettable sunset party!

Dominibus Chavón

Explore the Dominican Republic and come into contact with the beauty on the island!

Dominibus is a passenger bus reconstructed in a Dominican folklore-style; it wouldn’t be complete with its integrated bar stocked with rum, water and soft drinks. We will explore our surroundings, as well as one of the most romantic places in the Dominican Republic – Altos de Chavón, a recreated XVI Century Spanish village located inside Casa de Campo villas resort, situated above Chavón River.

Currently, Altos de Chavón is a school of art. On our visit, we will not only discover this truly magical place built in stone, but also its local art galleries, museums, shops and handicraft stores.The tour continues towards the nearby provincial capital of La Romana, a quintessential Dominican town. While in La Romana, we will visit the Tropical Market.

As we head back, we will enjoy a pleasurable ride aboard a traditional barge in Chavón River, where an open bar with Dominican music will be made available as we travel across the river, so you can dance and take pictures of its unforgettable, breathtaking landscape.

Viva Safari

An adventure for the discovery of the people and landscapes of the Dominican Republic!

We will depart from the Viva Wyndham Hotel at 8:15 A.M. aboard our Safari truck where, in the company of an experienced guide, we will visit the most emblematic sites of the Dominican Republic. Our first stop will take us to a school sponsored by the VIVA hotel chain in the village of Padre Nuestro. There, we will learn how the Dominican educational system works, as well as take the opportunity to visit the ARTE CUSECO Foundation, where we will observe how women from rural areas manufacture garments and other products from readily available materials. Our journey continues towards the sugar cane plantations to see how it is cut and harvested. There will also be time for tasting some fresh-cut sugar cane.

Next, we will make our way into the city of Higuey and pay a visit to a tobacco factory, where we can observe the traditional manufacturing process of one of the most exported products on the island. Our visit will be followed with a stop at the Basilica of Our Lady of Altagracia (Higuey Basilica), built by a French architect and inaugurated by Pope John Paul II. Making our away across town, we will next go to see its central market, where a diversity of shops and local products from the region exists.

Our tour will make its way to a traditional ranch in El Seibo, located amid the Cordillera Central (central mountain range) for a chance of getting a better look at coffee and cocoa plantations. You will be shown a part of the manual gathering and processing of these products, as well as have an opportunity to savor the end results for yourself. A typical Dominican lunch will be spread out in a country setting so you may enjoy a taste of the flavors of this land. We will escort you later in the afternoon to one of the most famous beach in the country, Macao Beach, where you will have the chance to go on a refreshing swim in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. We will return to the hotel at around 5:30 P.M.

Saona Catamaran

The most fun Catamaran excursion in the Caribbean!

Come with us to enjoy a wonderful experience in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean and a beautiful contrast of blue colors that you can appreciate on the horizon.

We will board the catamaran at the Viva Café dock in our resort and begin to enjoy a relaxed ride along the east coast of the Dominican Republic, in front of the National Park to the beautiful Natural Pool, the scene of internationally recognized films, for its dazzling beauty. This excursion is perfect to celebrate with friends, especially if you have already done one of our tours to Saona and want to say goodbye to your vacation with this beautiful party. You can take photos with the giant starfish, explore the wild beach or, if you prefer, sunbathe on one of our colorful floats. We will have an open bar and snacks throughout the tour, in addition to the animation of our collaborators, to make this excursion an unforgettable experience.
