Viva affirms all protocols were kept in the case of the guest with COVID-19; no other guests have been detected
Viva Resorts informed that the person that authorities have identified to be affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a guest of their Viva Dominicus Beach resort and assured the case was handled according to proper protocol and under the direction of the Ministry of Public Health. No other cases have been detected in the establishment.

Viva Resorts considers important to inform that the person that national health authorities have identified as affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a guest of our hotel Viva Dominicus Beach. We can assure that the case has been handled following the protocols of the World Health Organization and under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Health.
The referred guest arrived at the hotel without visible symptoms (asymptomatic). Later he showed mild to moderate flu symptoms and moderate fever the next day.

Immediately isolated from the rest of the guests and staff and the Ministry of Public Health was informed, who sent a specialized team for these situations and took control of the process and decided to transfer the guest to a hospital. Later, the tests confirmed that he was a patient with Coronavirus.
Under the supervision of public health, assisted by the health services in the hotel and its trained staff for these procedures, and following international protocol, the establishment has been undergoing a deep hygiene process using the latest generation cleansing products. Additionally, all people that have been in contact with the guest are under supervision of the specialized team from the Health Ministry. At the moment this communication was issued, no other person has been found suspicious to have the virus.
Viva Resorts, following the directions of the Ministry of Public Health, will be offering its guests and partners the necessary information to orient them in regards to the this case and the special security measures, if need be, that authorities decide, under supervision and control at all times.
